Trinity of Teachings
I hope I have this right. After struggling and struggling with Matthew 25 and the one parable, the parable of the talents, I have re-read the entire chapter and believe it is coming clear. We know not when Jesus Christ will return so we are to be prepared at all times. Praise, worship and love are how we prepare. We are patient and keep an ear out for His footsteps. We ensure the Lamp is filled and keep a steady supply of Light by continually refilling our soul with the Holy Spirit.
Likewise, we are to use the gifts of love, wisdom and praise in order to multiply, or spread, the Gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For if we forego the gifts He has showered our lives with they will be taken away and we will be left destitute for all eternity. As we spread the Love and Hope of Jesus Christ we are multiplying His love for humanity. We are honoring His mercy and grace through our belief and following His will.
As we remain faithful, prayerful and servants for His glory He will reward us as He sees fit, both in this world and the world to come.
Now is your chance to support Gospel News Network.
We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
Matthew 25 has been a teaching moment for me and I hope you have followed along with the struggle. Sometimes, most of the time, God puts the answer right in front of us, but we somehow seem to miss the obvious. Jesus Christ will never abandon us and God will guide our lives through His will with the Holy Spirit walking with us, guiding our steps.
Please read Matthew 25 – from a variety of different interpretations. Allow the three parables to weave a tapestry of love, hope and beauty that prove beyond measure that Jesus Christ is our Living Hope and the King of kings. What I have done is read at least one parable from the following versions – KJV, NKJV, ESV and CSB – and the entire chapter in the NKJV and ESV versions.
